BOSSIER CITY, LA - Eugene "Gene" James LaBorde, 85, was called home to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 24, 2016 in Bossier City, LA. Services celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 425 McCormick Street, Bossier City, LA at 10:00 a.m. with Father Pike Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday, November, 28, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral...

Services celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 425 McCormick Street, Bossier City, LA at 10:00 a.m. with Father Pike Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday, November, 28, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton.
He was born on December 17, 1930 in Marksville, LA. Gene moved to Bossier City in 1950 to start his family. He was a lifelong member of Christ the King Catholic Church and a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He was a Master Cabinet Maker for 46 years. He began his career at Bossier Millworks where he worked for 27 years.
In 1976, he opened and ran his own business, LaBorde's Custom Cabinets until he retired. Gene enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling with his family. He will be remembered as a kind, generous and loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his father Cloger LaBorde and mother Lorinda Bonnette; brothers, Nolan and Rosemond; sister, Lirel and grandson Christopher Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Audrey Dupuy LaBorde; his sister RaeAnna LaBorde; children, Glenn LaBorde, Ann LaBorde and husband Chester Simpson, Randall LaBorde and wife Mary Sue, Celeste LaBorde and husband Dan Foster, Clare Gordon and husband Steve, Monica LaBorde, Cecilia Berry and husband Bobby "Von", Stephanie Webb and husband Paul and Yvonne Walker and husband Kelly; grandchildren, Sharon, Jean Paul and Roger LaBorde, Renée Mitchell, Abigail James, Penny DeTello, Madeline Naquin, Matthew Olinde, Reade and Lucas Webb and great-grandchildren, Valerie Naquin and Nathan Mitchell.
